Coppa Italia: Mediaset extends its broadcasting rights in Italy for three seasons (2024-2027)

The Italian private TV group Mediaset has extended its broadcasting rights in Italy for the Coppa Italia Frecciarossa over the 2024-2027 cycle (three seasons), announced Lega Serie A on 30/10/2023. The agreement also includes the TV rights to the Supercoppa Italiana (EA Sports Supercup) over the same period.

The governing body had decided "not to accept the bids received, therefore providing for a subsequent phase of direct negotiations" on 14/07/2023, following a call for bids for the domestic broadcasting rights to the two competitions launched on 27/06/2023, which proved unsuccessful despite bids from Mediaset and the RAI public broadcasting group, submitted before the deadline of 13/07/2023.

Mediaset holds the free-to-air and pay-TV broadcasting rights to the Coppa Italia and the Supercoppa Italiana in Italy for the 2021-2024 cycle. These rights were acquired for €48.2m and will be revalued to €58m for the 2024-2027 cycle, according to Italian media on 30/10/2023.
