Spain: second edition of "Champions for Life" charity match organised by the League on 29/12/2014

The LFP (Spanish Professional Football League), in partnership with UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund), the second annual "Champions for Life" charity match at the Vicente Calderon Stadium in Madrid on 29/12/2014.

The LFP and UNICEF hope to raise €600,000 from this event. The funds will be used in the fight against Ebola, and to fund social projects by Spanish clubs linked with childhood.

66 players from the Spanish first and second divisions to be available for the match

  • The match is between two teams of players from Liga BBVA and Liga Adelante (second division): the East team against the West team.
    • each team will consist of 33 players.
    • the match will be run in three thirds of 30 minutes, with each player is playing one 30-minute third.
    • the list of participating players has not been communicated by the LFP.
  • Ticket prices: from €5 to €15.
  • Distribution: on Spanish free-TV channel TVE.
  • The first edition of "Champions for Life" was played at the Santiago Bernabéu in Madrid on 30/12/2013.
