Rugby World Cup 2023: TotalEnergies, the most visible sponsor of the competition in France (Ipsos)

"With 50% visibility, the TotalEnergies advertisement made the biggest impact on people's minds" during the 2023 Rugby World Cup, according to the "Les Essais transformés de la Pub" (The Tries Transformed by Advertising) barometer dedicated to the competition's sponsors and published by the Ipsos polling institute on 31/10/2023. This is the first time in its history that the French group has been involved in the sponsorship programme for a Rugby World Cup.

The study, for which Ipsos questioned 500 television viewers in France, also awarded four other prizes. Among these, the "l’essai transformé du buzz" (The Try for Transformed buzz) was awarded to Société Générale with 63% of aided awareness, ahead of TotalEnergies (2^nd) and Le Coq Sportif (3^rd), the official equipment supplier of the French national team since 2018 (€6.8m per season).
