LFP: Marseille-Lyon rescheduled for Wednesday 06/12/2023 at a venue "to be determined"

The Olympique de Marseille - Olympique Lyonnais match (10th day of Ligue 1 Uber Eats 2023-24), initially scheduled for Sunday 29/10/2023 at 8:45 p.m. CET at the Stade Orange Vélodrome in Marseille but which could not take place due to the attack on the Lyonnais coach by Marseille supporters on the way to the stadium, due in particular to the injury of OL's Italian coach Fabio Grosso, is rescheduled for Wednesday 06/12/2023, "first date available to with regard to the calendar of the two teams", decides the LFP Competitions Commission at the end of its meeting on 02/11/2023.

Although Lyon's refusal to play this match could have led to a sanction being imposed on the club, the LFP recognises the "exceptional circumstances" that led to the match being rescheduled to justify its being eventually played, in accordance with article 544 of the LFP  Competitions Regulations 2023-24.

However, it is not yet certain that the two clubs will face each other at the Orange Vélodrome, as the body has also decided to "determine the venue for this match at a later date, pending further information…
