FC Barcelona: €7.6m in ticketing revenue generated from El Clásico at Montjuïc Stadium on 28/10/2023

FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports) generated ticketing revenue of €7.6m for their match versus Real Madrid CF on Matchday 11 of the 2023-24 Spanish Championship on 28/10/2023 (1-2), according to Juli Guiu, vice president of the Catalan club's marketing department, who spoke to Catalunya Ràdio on 02/11/2023.

The revenue generated by the match, played at a sold-out Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys in Montjuïc for the first time (50,112 capacity), is "60% higher than that recorded for matches at the Spotify Camp Nou (99,354 capacity) in 2022-23," added Guiu. Revenue from El Clásico at the Spotify Camp Nou is usually around €8.3m, according to Juli Guiu. The economic performance achieved at Montjuïc is due in particular to ticket prices ranging from €249 to €495 for the match.

The Catalan club have been playing their home games at the Estadi Olímpic Lluís Companys since the start of the 2023-24 season, due to the renovation and extension works at the Spotify Camp Nou (increased to 105,000 seats) which began in the summer of 2023.
