Ligue 1 Uber Eats: a record 2.66 million spectators after 11 matchdays despite the move to 18 clubs

"Even though the Ligue 1 Uber Eats has been reduced from 20 to 18 clubs (i.e. one match less on each matchday from the 2023-24 season), a new record of 2.66 million spectators in 11 matchdays has been recorded in the stadiums," announced the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 07/11/2023.

"Since the start of the season, all attendance indicators have risen sharply. The average attendance stands at 27,141 spectators, an increase of 14% compared to last season (23,810 spectators), which was already a record season for Ligue 1 Uber Eats attendances," stated the LFP, while the Matchday 11 of the 2023-24 season of the French championship has just recorded an "all-time record" with an average of 31,484 spectators per game, from Friday 03 to Sunday 05/11/2023.

"At the same time, fill rates also reached a record level of 85%, 4 points better than in 2022-23 (81%), and almost half of the stadiums had a fill rate of over 90% (RC Lens, Stade Brestois 29, Paris Saint-Germain, RC Strasbourg Alsace, Olympique de Marseille, Stade Rennais FC, Clermont Foot 63, FC Lorient)," added the LFP.
