NFL: "We want to play in more markets, primarily Spain and Brazil” (Roger Goodell)

"We want to grow to become a real global sport, so you have to play in more markets, clearly. We're looking primarily at Spain and Brazil," said Roger Goodell, NFL commissioner. Goodell spoke on the sidelines of the NFL regular season game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Miami Dolphins (21-14), which was relocated to Germany at the Deutsche Bank Park (55,000 capacity) in Frankfurt (Hesse, GER) on 05/11/2023.

"We are definitely going to play in a new market next year but we're still debating between the two," added the commissioner.

42 NFL regular season games have been relocated since 2007 to London (ENG, at least one game per year since 2007), Mexico City (MEX, four games in 2016, 2017, 2019 and 2022), Munich and Frankfurt (GER).

• Germany hosts at least one NFL regular season game each year over the 2022-2025 cycle, alternating between Munich and Frankfurt, under an agreement signed between the DFL and the National Football League on 09/02/2022.
