NWSL: ESPN, CBS, Amazon & Scripps broadcasters in the USA for the 2024-2027 cycle ($240m)

The American pay-TV group ESPN (The Walt Disney Company), the American audiovisual group CBS (Paramount Global), the American e-commerce group Amazon and the American media group Scripps Networks have acquired the rights to broadcast the National Women's Soccer League in the United States for the 2024-2027 cycle (four seasons), announced the North American women's league on 09/11/2023.

The total value of the rights is estimated at $240m (€224.4m), or $60m per season (€56m), according to American media. This would be almost 53 times more than the amount paid by CBS for NWSL TV rights over the current cycle ($4.5m/€4.2m over 2021-2023).

From the 2024 season onwards, 118 matches will be broadcast via the various broadcasters. "The remainder of the NWSL regular-season schedule will be part of a domestic direct-to-consumer package produced and distributed by the NWSL, building on the league's 2023 season international direct-to-consumer platform which has proven successful," explained the NWSL.
