Serie A TIM: Qatar Airways official airline of FC Inter Milan in 2023-24 (€1.5m)

Qatar-based airline Qatar Airways has become an official partner (3^rd level) of FC Inter Milan (Serie A TIM), announced the club on 12/11/2023. The deal covers the remainder of the 2023-24 season and is worth around €1.5m, according to Italian press reports the same day.

As part of the agreement, Qatar Airways will benefit from the status of "official global airline partner" and will have visibility on signage at the San Siro (Milan, ITA). The deal also includes a clause enabling the airline to become the club's main shirt sponsor from the 2024-25 season, in return for an annual fee of between €18m and €20m, according to Italian media. This sponsorship space is occupied by the VoD platform Paramount+ in 2023-24 (€15m).

Inter would become the second club to display the Qatar Airways logo on its kit: the airline has also been the main shirt sponsor of Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) since the 2022-23 season (between €60m and €70m a year). The group also succeeded its Dubai-based counterpart Emirates as Formula One Group's official airline on 22/02/2023.
