USA: Netflix interested in media rights for the "NBA In-Season Tournament" from 2025-26 (press)

The streaming platform Netflix has reportedly expressed an interest in the domestic media rights to the NBA In-Season Tournament from the 2025-26 season, according to the American press on 13/11/2023.

The NBA In-Season Tournament (or NBA Cup) is a new official tournament introduced by the NBA in the 2023-24 season. The first edition, involving all 30 franchises, began on Friday 03/11/2023 and will culminate in a Final Four (semi-finals and finals) held at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (Nevada, USA) from Thursday 07 to Saturday 09/12/2023. A total of 67 matches will be played during the NBA In-Season Tournament.

The tournament is currently being broadcast by pay-TV groups ESPN (The Walt Disney Company) and Turner (Warner Bros. Discovery), the official broadcasters of the NBA in the United States over the 2016-2025 cycle for a total of $24bn (€22.45bn).
