TF1: "France's first completely free streaming platform TF1+ to launch on 01/08/2024" (R. Belmer)

"On 08/01/2024 we are launching France's first completely free streaming platform, called TF1+. It will be a flagship news and entertainment destination for French households thanks to its family and premium programmes. TF1+ will be available on Orange as well as SFR and Bouygues Telecom boxes and on the majority of connected televisions," said Rodolphe Belmer, president and CEO of the privately-owned free-TV group TF1, to the French daily Le Figaro on 13/11/2023.

"From January, our application will include Top Chrono, a function capable of generating customised highlights. It will be able to summarise a French team match according to the duration chosen by the viewer. We tested it successfully during the Rugby World Cup 2023 (technology developed in partnership with WSC Sports, an Israeli company specialised in technology and artificial intelligence in sport)," said Belmer.
