West Ham United: record turnover (€141.3m) and profit before tax (€12.7m) in 2013-14

West Ham United FC (Barclays Premier League) achieved a record turnover of £114.8m (€141.3m) excluding player trading during the 2013-14 financial year (from 01/06/2013 to 31/05/2014), up 27.9% over the 2012-13 period (£89.8m, €105.1m at the time), the club announced on 29/12/2014.

This increase in revenue is related to the audiovisual income of the club, which rose from £51.8m (€60.6m) in 2012-13 to £75.4m (€92.7m) in 2013-14, an increase of 45.6% over 12 months. This corresponds to the entry into force of the new media rights cycle to the Premier League (€2.2bn per year over the 2013 to 2016 period, +70% from the previous cycle).

West Ham posted an operating profit of £31.8m (€39.1m) excluding player trading in 2013-14, an increase of 113.7% compared to 2012-13 (£14.9m, €17.4m) and operating profit after integration of losses on the sale of player contracts (£16.5m, €20.3m) of £15.3m (€18.8m), or 12.5 times more than the previous year (£1.2m, €1.4m). The club recorded a profit before tax of £10.3m (€12.7m) in 2013-14, against a net loss of £3.5m (€4.1m) in 2012-13.
