LFP: discussions with beIN SPORTS France for 2024-2029 Ligue 1 Uber Eats domestic TV rights (press)

Vincent Labrune, president of the Ligue de Football Professionnel, and Yousef Al-Obaidly, president of the pay-TV group beIN SPORTS France, met on Monday 13/11/2023 regarding the domestic media rights to the Ligue 1 Uber Eats for the 2024-2029 cycle, according to the French sports daily L'Équipe on 14/11/2023.

beIN SPORTS France and the OTT sports platform DAZN had submitted qualitative bids for these rights, according to RMC Sport on 17/10/2023. beIN then positioned itself on the five lots of the call for tenders (full list of lots below), while DAZN expressed its interest in Lots 1 and 2 (live matches). However, the two companies did not submit financial bids in line with the minimum price set by the LFP, so the auction scheduled for the morning of Tuesday 17/10/2023 did not take place.
