Formula E: SPOTV (KOR) extends broadcasting rights in 9 Asian countries from 2024

SPOTV, a South Korean pay-TV group, has extended its rights to broadcast the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship to nine Asian countries as part of a "multi-year agreement" from 2024, announced Formula E on 13/11/2023.

SPOTV's linear channels and the streaming platform SPOTV NOW will broadcast "races live in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Macau, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea and Vietnam. In addition to live races, SPOTV will also maintain live broadcasts of Formula E practice sessions and the popular qualifying format, known as Duels, where drivers race head-to-head in a knockout format to decide starting grid positions," explained Formula E.

SPOTV has held the rights to broadcast Formula E in these territories since the start of the 2022 season.

• 225 million viewers watched the races of the 2023 Formula E season live, an increase of 4% compared to the previous season (216 million), according to Formula E on 03/10/2023.
