France/Women's football: "We're aiming for 500,000 female licensees by 2028" (J-M. Aulas, FFF)

"We have launched a five-year plan to enable us to grow at breakneck speed. We aim to double the number of female licence-holders to 500,000 by 2028 (from 220,000 in 2023). By setting ambitious targets, we are creating the conditions for major companies to support us," declared Jean-Michel Aulas, member of the Fédération Française de Football's executive committee and chairman of the high-level women's football committee, on 14/11/2023.

The former president of Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) took part in the "Women's training and gender diversity" round table at the CNF (National Football Centre) Clairefontaine as part of the 50^th anniversary celebrations of French training organised by the FFF. Also taking part were Peggy Provost, an educator at the Institut National du Football (French National Football Institute at Clairefontaine, in charge of the women's U15s), Christian Bassila, director of the INF, and Sabrina Delannoy, deputy sports director of the women's section at Paris Saint-Germain (D1 Arkema).
