FIFA: a record partnership with Saudi Aramco (oil, KSA) worth €92m per year (press)

Saudi Aramco (Saudi Arabian Oil Company), Saudi Arabia's national oil and gas company, "is to become FIFA's biggest-paying sponsor," according to the British daily The Times on 16/09/2023.

"Sources in the marketing industry and those with knowledge of Aramco's plans have said that talks over a sponsorship deal are at an advanced stage," said The Times.

The deal, which could be worth up to $100m (€92m) a year, would be FIFA's biggest-ever sponsorship deal. The partnership is due to run until 2034, the year in which the 25^th FIFA World Cup is due to be staged, for which Saudi Arabia is currently the only candidate following the announcement of Australia's withdrawal on 31/10/2023.

Aramco is already involved in sports sponsorship with Formula One Group (since 2020) as well as with the Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team (since 2022).
