Tennis: Dunlop extends as ATP ball supplier for 5 more years (2024-2028)

Dunlop Sports, a Japan-based brand owned by American tyre manufacturer Goodyear, has extended its partnership as tennis ball supplier to the Association of Tennis Professionals for a further five seasons (2024-2028), on 16/11/2023.

The group will continue to benefit from the status of "silver partner", the fourth level in the body's sponsorship hierarchy. Dunlop succeeded Austrian equipment manufacturer Head, supplier of the official ATP balls between 1994 and 2018, in 2019.

Dunlop will continue to supply the official balls for "close to half of all tournaments. Events include the Nitto ATP Finals, Next Gen ATP Finals presented by NEOM, and four ATP Masters 1000 events. 11 different brands of balls were used on the ATP Tour during the 2023 season, according to L'Équipe on 14/11/2023. "It's a bit like changing rackets all the time and we can't afford that," said Swiss tennis player Stanislas Wawrinka to L'Équipe on 14/11/2023.

As part of this renewed agreement, Dunlop has also become an "official racquet and tennis accessories partner" of the ATP Tour. The brand will offer a…
