FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022: "The estimate, in terms of revenue, is $17bn" (Fatma Al Nuaimi)

"The estimate, in terms of revenue, is $17bn (€15.5bn for Qatar). We will soon be launching a report on the economic impact of the tournament. These figures include the specific infrastructure budget of $6.5m (€5.9m). We are on a par with the figures for the Olympic Games or World Cups," said Fatma Al Nuaimi, communications executive director at the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy, the body responsible for organising the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, in an interview with the French daily Le Parisien on 20/11/2023.
