Spain: Liga F posts turnover of €12.3m in 2022-23 & net profit of €366,000 in its 1^st financial year

In its first full financial year, Liga F posted a turnover of €12.3m and a net profit of €366,095 in 2022-23 (from 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), according to the annual accounts published by the Spanish Professional Women's Football League (Liga Profesional de Fútbol Femenino, LPFF) in November 2023.

The League, whose statutes were approved by the board of directors of the Consejo Superior de Deportes (CSD) on 14/03/2022, came into existence in September 2022 to mark the start of the first season of the Spanish women's football championship with professional status. Until then, the competition had been organised by the RFEF.

The body's revenue is divided into three categories:
• Domestic (€4.7m) and international (€1.5m) TV rights: €6.2m;
• Revenue from sponsorship and licences: €4.5m;
• Agreement making LALIGA the marketing agency for the women's league until 2026-27: €1.5m in 2022-23.

Liga F also posted a net profit of €366,095 at the end of the 2022-23 financial year.
