Atalanta BC: a turnover of €111.8m (-20.7%) & net profit of €5.6m in 2022-23

Atalanta BC (Serie A TIM) posted a turnover of €111.8m at the end of the 2022-23 financial year (from 01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), down 20.7% on 2021-22 (€141m), according to the annual accounts published on the club's website in November 2023.

Domestic TV rights represent the club's main source of revenue, at €64.8m, or 57.8% of its total revenue (excluding transfers). The drop in turnover can be explained in particular by a sharp fall in the TV rights fees distributed by UEFA. These amounted to €1.8m in 2022-23 (no participation in European competitions), compared with €42.2m in 2021-22, the season in which the club reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League after taking part in the group stage of the Champions League.

The Lombardy club nevertheless posted a new net profit of €5.6m in 2022-23, down slightly on the previous year (€6.4m). Atalanta's wage bill remains stable at €87.1m (compared with €88.8m in 2021-22).
