NFL: a record audience & a sold-out stadium in Frankfurt for the two games relocated to Germany

The two National Football League (NFL) regular season games relocated to the Deutsche Bank Park (55,000 capacity) in Frankfurt (Germany) in November 2023 were sold out to a total of 100,167 spectators, announced the North American league on 16/11/2023.

The first game, which pitted the Miami Dolphins versus the Kansas City Chiefs (14-21) on 05/11/2023, was watched by an average of 9.6 million viewers on the NFL Network pay-TV channel in the United States, the highest audience for an NFL game played outside North America. In Germany, the event was watched by an average of 1.51 million viewers on the private free-TV channel RTL (RTL Deutschland), according to data provided by the North American league. The second game, Indianapolis Colts - New England Patriots (10-6), played on 12/11/2023, drew an average of 1.08 million viewers on RTL.
