Tennis: Sky to broadcast ATP & WTA circuits in several territories for the 2024-2028 cycle

Sky has extended its exclusive broadcasting rights to the ATP tennis circuit for its subsidiaries in Italy (Sky Italia) and the DACH region (Sky Deutschland) for five years over the 2024-2028 cycle, announced the pay-TV operator on 24/11/2023.

Sky has acquired these rights in the UK and Ireland for the same period. The rights to broadcast the ATP Tour were previously held by US e-commerce group Amazon (owner of the Prime Video platform) in these territories during the 2019-2023 cycle.

Sky has also acquired the exclusive broadcasting rights to the Hologic WTA Tour in all these territories for 2024-2028. In addition, the operator has acquired non-exclusive rights to the ATP and WTA Tours in Luxembourg, Liechtenstein and South Tyrol (a predominantly German-speaking province of Italy).
