LALIGA: collaboration agreement with the K League (South Korea) extended & renewed until 2026

LALIGA and the K League, the body responsible for organising Korea's two professional leagues (K League 1 and K League 2), have extended their collaboration agreement until 2026, announced the Spanish League on 27/11/2023. The initial partnership was signed on 10/12/2020.

The new agreement, which comes into force on 01/01/2024, will extend the areas of collaboration between the two leagues. To the training of players and coaches, audiovisual production and economic control of clubs "esports, matchday preparation, academic training, women's football and the fight against racism and other types of discrimination" will be added.

"Since we started working together at the end of 2020, we have discovered more and more areas of collaboration and possibilities for joint development and we are convinced that both competitions will be able to benefit from this exchange of knowledge and shared experiences to continue growing," said Oscar Mayo Pardo, executive director of LALIGA.
