Brighton & Hove Albion FC: water consumption reduced by 41,203 litres per day at the Amex Stadium

Brighton & Hove Albion FC (Premier League) have reduced their daily water consumption at the American Express Stadium (Brighton, ENG) by 41,203 litres, announced the club on 30/11/2023.

This reduction was made possible by an audit carried out by Southern Water (wastewater collection and treatment) into the stadium's water consumption. The study revealed 45 leaks in the stadium's toilets and kitchens, causing a total over-consumption of around 34,000 litres per day. In addition, "water efficiency devices" were "fitted to 38 toilets and 21 taps saving a further 7,143 litres of water," said the club.

An audit of water consumption at the club's training centre, the American Express Elite Center (Lancing, ENG), is also planned for the end of 2023.
