Premier League: domestic TV rights for Sky, TNT Sports & the BBC over the 2025-2029 cycle (£6.7bn)

The pay-TV operator Sky, the pay-TV bouquet TNT Sports (ex-BT Sport, Warner Bros. Discovery) and the public broadcasting group BBC have renewed their domestic broadcasting rights to the Premier League for the 2025-2029 cycle (four seasons), announced the English League on 04/12/2023. For the first time, these TV rights will be sold over four years (compared with three previously).

The total value of the agreement is £6.7bn (€7.8bn), or £1.67bn a year (€1.96bn), which represents "a 4% increase in live rights value compared to the previous process," according to the Premier League.

Sky will broadcast a "minimum" of 215 live matches per season (compared with 128 during the current 2022-2025 cycle), while TNT Sports will broadcast 52 (the same number as in the current cycle). As is the case in the current cycle, the BBC will hold the free-to-air rights to broadcast highlights of all 380 matches (see below).
