UEFA: a new format for the Women's Champions League in 2025-26 & a second club competition

• Change of format for the Women's Champions League from the 2025-26 season, with a switch to a mini-championship featuring 18 teams, compared with 16 clubs divided into four groups of four at present, i.e. two additional participants.
• The creation of a second European women's club competition in the same season, with a knockout format, to be contested by teams eliminated in the qualifying rounds of the Champions League and representatives from member associations positioned between 8^th and 24^th in the UEFA women's coefficient rankings.

These are the two decisions taken by the UEFA executive committee regarding the "the post-2025 sporting concept for European women’s club football" at its meeting in Hamburg (GER) on 02/12/2023, announced the body on 04/12/2023.
