Olympique Lyonnais: "Restrictions on wage bill & transfer fees in line with revised budget" (DNCG)

"A restriction on the wage bill and transfer fees" is the decision taken in application of article 11 of the DNCG Regulations with regard to Olympique Lyonnais (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) by the Professional Clubs Control Committee as part of the re-examination of the situation of clubs for the 2023-24 sports season, according to the Ligue de Football Professionnel on 05/12/2023.

This double sanction is identical to the one handed down in July 2023, however, it comes in the context of an increased budget validated by the DNCG.

"By approving the new budget, revised upwards, presented by Olympique Lyonnais and simply requesting compliance, the DNCG enables the club to present itself in a favorable position ahead of the winter transfer window, allowing for the strengthening of the team through the acquisition of new players.
