esports: Kappa succeeds Macron as equipment supplier to Team BDS (Switzerland) for 2024 & 2025

Kappa, an Italian brand belonging to the BasicNet group, has become the official equipment supplier of Team BDS for the 2024 and 2025 seasons, announced the Swiss esports club on 05/12/2023.

"This strategic partnership marks a new era of collaboration between fashion and the world of esports," said the Geneva-based organisation. Kappa's ambition is to design and market "exclusive merchandise that blends sport and lifestyle," according to Rémi Garnier, country manager at Kappa. The Italian brand succeeds Macron, Team BDS's equipment supplier in 2022 and 2023.

Kappa is thus stepping up its esports sponsorship strategy. With this partnership, the group becomes the equipment supplier of a second club playing at the highest European level in the League of Legends (LEC) game, in addition to Mad Lions (ESP). Of the 10 clubs taking part in the LEC in 2024, Hummel (with Team Vitality) and Kappa are the only equipment suppliers committed as 06/12/2023.
