FIFA Club World Cup 2023: L’Équipe acquires exclusive broadcasting rights in France

L'Équipe has acquired exclusive broadcasting rights in France for the FIFA Club World Cup 2023, to be held in Saudi Arabia from 12 to 22/12/2023, announced the sports media group on 07/12/2023.

The entire competition will be broadcast on the L'Équipe live platform (website and app), while the top fixtures, including those involving Manchester City FC (Premier League) from the semi-finals onwards, will be shown on La chaine L'Équipe (free DTT).

The 2022 Club World Cup, held in Morocco from 01 to 11/02/2023, was broadcast exclusively on the channels of the pay and free-TV group Canal+. La chaine L'Équipe broadcast the semi-finals and final of the competition during the 2021 edition, which took place in the United Arab Emirates from Thursday 03 to Saturday 12/02/2022.

• "2023 should be the best year ever for La chaine L'Équipe, with an average audience share of 1.6% among the general public and 3.1% among men aged between 25 and 49," said Jérôme Saporito, director of L'Équipe group's TV division, on 07/12/2023.
