NFL: a first regular season match to be held in South America, in Sao Paulo (Brazil), in 2024

The National Football League will hold a regular season game in Sao Paulo (Brazil) in 2024, announced the North American league on 13/12/2023. This will be the first match (excluding pre-season fixtures) to be organised by the NFL in South America.

The game will take place at the Corinthians Arena (49,000 capacity), which has already hosted matches during the 2014 FIFA World Cup and the 2016 Olympic Games. "With the game in South America, the NFL will have played a game (preseason or regular season) in five of the seven continents around the world. Brazil is an important global market for the NFL, with more than 38 million fans of the game (8.3 million of those being "avid" fans)," said the NFL.

In 2024, five regular season matches in the NFL will be played abroad:
• two will be held at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (London, ENG), as part of an agreement that runs until 2029-30;
• one at the Wembley Stadium (London, ENG) via a direct partnership with the Jacksonville Jaguars;
• one at the Allianz Arena (Munich, GER) thanks to the NFL's collaboration with the DFL to host at least one…
