FC Bayern Munich: acquisition of a majority stake in RC Montevideo (URU) via Red&Gold Football

Red&Gold Football, a joint venture between FC Bayern Munich (Bundesliga) and Los Angeles FC (MLS) created in March 2023, has become the majority shareholder of Racing Club de Montevideo (Uruguayan 1^st division), announced all parties on 14/12/2023.

"The management of RC Montevideo will retain a minority stake in the club and stay with Racing in operational functions. Red&Gold Football respects the tradition and iconic identity of the club and will therefore not change its colors, logo or name. In consultation with the management, Red&Gold Football will invest in the club's infrastructure in order to further expand and improve the existing foundations," said the joint venture, in which both Bayern & Los Angeles FC have a 50% stake.
