FC Barcelona: elections for the presidency, planned for 2016, advanced to the end of season 2014-15

The elections for the presidency of FC Barcelona, scheduled to be held at the end of the 2015-16 season, have been advanced and will take place at the end of the 2014-15 season, announced Josep Maria Bartomeu, the current president of the club, on 07/01/2015.

"By advancing the election date, we want to reduce the disproportionate pressure now knows the club," said Josep Bartomeu, who announced that he would run in the elections. "I expect candidates to act with responsibility and fair play. We will have time to debate during the campaign. Until that time, I ask them for fair play and to support the club," stated the current president of Barça.
