Australian Open: Luzhou Laojiao (alcohol, CHN) extends partnership until 2028

Luzhou Laojiao, a Chinese company specialised in the production of alcoholic beverages, has extended its partnership with the Australian Open Tennis Championships (Grand Slam) for a further five editions (2024-2028), announced Tennis Australia on 19/12/2023. The 2024 edition of the Australian Open will be held at Melbourne Park from 14 to 28/01/2024.

A partner of the Australian Open since 2019, the Chinese company remains a second-level partner in the tournament's sponsorship hierarchy, alongside Rolex (watchmaker) and Emirates (airline). As part of the agreement, Luzhou Laojiao continues to have naming rights for court no. 2, renamed "1573 Arena" in 2019, in reference to the year in which the brand's first distillery was founded, as well as visibility on signage on the other courts.

As part of this partnership renewal, Tennis Australia has announced that the Asia Pacific qualifying tournament for the Australian Open will be held in Chengdu, China for its 2024 edition.
