"Following the terrible attack yesterday (07/01/2015) at the headquarters of Charlie Hebdo (in Paris, FRA), the FFF (French Football Federation) has decided to observe a minute of silence in all pitches of the Hexagon (football pyramid), this weekend (10 and 11/01/2015) at fixtures at the national, regional and district competitions," announced the Federation on 08/01/2015.

"The whole family of French football joins the general spirit of solidarity and affirms its support for the families of the victims," added the FFF.

  • The LFP (French Professional Football League) announced on 07/01/2015 that a minute of silence would precede the fixtures of the 20th matchday of Ligue 1 and the 19th Matchday of Ligue 2, from 09 to 12/01/2015.
    • Such a moment of reflection was held prior to the LOSC Lille - Evian Thonon Gaillard FC (1-0) match on 07/01/2014 (14th Matchday of Ligue 1, fixture delayed because of the final of the Davis Cup held at the Stade Pierre Mauroy in Lille from 21 to 23/11/2014).
