Udinese Calcio: €126.8m in revenue (+62%) & a net loss of €3.6m in 2022-23

Udinese Calcio (Serie A TIM) posted €126.8m in revenue at the end of the 2022-23 financial year (01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), up 62% on 2021-22 (€78m), announced the club on 03/01/2024.

This increase is partly due to "the return to full stadium capacity and the effect of attendance at the Bluenergy Stadium, which generated €8m in gate receipts" as well as operating costs which were down 16%. But it is above all transfer revenues that accounted for the increase in the club's total revenues, rising from €16.9m in 2021-22 to €56.4m in 2022-23.

With net debt falling by 18%, the Italian club posted a positive EBITDA of €54m.

Meanwhile, the club reported a net loss of €3.6m in 2022-23, a significant improvement on the negative result of €69m at the end of the previous financial year. "This figure is impacted by amortisations - to the value of €6.5m - from the revaluation of the stadium and brand implemented in 2020, permitted by special Covid legislation. Therefore, without the effect of these amortisations, the financial statement shows a virtual profit of € 2.9m," explained Udinese.
