European Top 5: social media communities of the 96 clubs (January 2024)

• The clubs in the European Top 5 have added 46.5 million new followers in the last month, taking their total to more than 2.57 billion on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and X.
• Real Madrid CF (LALIGA EA Sports) is the club with the most followers with 358 million, ahead of FC Barcelona (LALIGA EA Sports, 318 million) and Manchester United FC (Premier League, 207 million).
• Liverpool FC (Premier League) was the club that experienced the best growth in its number of followers during the month of December 2023, with 7 million new followers.
• In percentage terms, Girona FC (LALIGA EA Sports) posted the best growth in its online community, with a 15.2% increase in its total number of followers.
• Nine clubs in the Top 5 have a total of more than 100 million followers, including four from the Premier League, two from LaLiga EA Sports, one from the Ligue 1 Uber Eats, one from the Bundesliga and one from the Serie A TIM.
