Amazon: departure of Marie Donoghue, vice president of Global Sports Video since August 2018

Marie Donoghue, Amazon's vice president of Global Sports Video, is stepping down from her role at the US e-commerce group, confirmed the latter to several US media outlets on 04/01/2024.

Marie Donoghue held this position since August 2018 and reported to Jay Marine, current vice president and global head of sports at Prime Video.

During Marie Donoghue's tenure at Prime Video, Amazon acquired the exclusive US media rights to Thursday Night Football for the 2022-2033 cycle, as well as the exclusive rights to the NFL's first Black Friday Game in 2023 (Friday 24/11/2023). Amazon will also broadcast 27 NWSL matches per year in the United States on its Prime Video platform over the 2024-2027 cycle.
