DFL: WOW, Sky Deutschland's streaming service, title sponsor of the Virtual Bundesliga from 2024

WOW, a streaming service from Sky Deutschland, has acquired the naming rights to the Virtual Bundesliga, which will become the "WOW Virtual Bundesliga", announced the Deutsche Fussball Liga (DFL) on 08/01/2024. The duration of the partnership has not been specified.

"WOW’s logo will feature on all branding related to the DFL's eFootball competition, including digital communication platforms as well as during all offline VBL events and additional areas of competition promotion. In addition, WOW acquires a comprehensive rights package and will broadcast key moments in a range of content formats," explained the German football league. WOW subscribers in Germany will also have access to the Bundesliga matches played every Saturday, as well as to all 2.Bundesliga matches broadcast on Sky Deutschland.

Launched in 2018-19 under the name "TAG Heuer Virtuellen Bundesliga", the competition welcomed bevestor (a subsidiary of German banking group DekaBank) as title sponsor for two seasons (2020-2022). 35 Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga clubs are taking part in the 2023-24 WOW Virtual Bundesliga…
