TotalEnergies AFCON 2023: Puma, most represented equipment supplier for the 5^th consecutive edition

Puma is equipping the national teams of six federations (Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Ghana, Guinea, Morocco and Senegal) participating in the TotalEnergies AFCON 2023 organised in the Ivory Coast, one team more than in 2021 and two more than in 2019.

The German brand is thus the most represented equipment supplier at the competition (25% of the federations) for the fifth consecutive time. Portuguese brand Lacatoni is the only other supplier to provide the kit for several national teams, namely Angola and Mozambique. In total, 18 equipment manufacturers are represented among the 24 federations qualified for the TotalEnergies AFCON 2023, which will be played from 13/01 to 11/02/2024.

Six equipment suppliers are African brands, compared to four during AFCON 2021 and only one for the 2019 edition:

• Guisport (Guinea-Bissau) equips Guinea-Bissau
• AB Sport (Morocco) equips the Islamic Republic of Mauritania
• Tovio (Burkina Faso) equips Burkina Faso
• Sandaland (Tanzania) equips Tanzania
• KoPa, a brand owned by the Football Association of Zambia, equips…
