Manchester City FC: a record £230,000 raised during the club's Christmas campaign

Manchester City FC (Premier League) raised a record £230,000 (€267,506) during its festive season charity campaign entitled "The Greatest Season of All" which closed on 31/12/2023, announced the club on 09/01/2024.

"Players, club staff, partners and supporters were all involved in a large range of activities that helped the local community through fundraising and volunteering," said the 2022-23 Champions League winners.

To mark the occasion, the English club put its Christmas range on sale in shops and online. The reigning Premier League champions donated £5 (€5.74) to their City in the Community charity for every product purchased from the range (Christmas jumpers, pyjamas, cuddly toys, balls, etc.), and "trebled additional donations made by fans and staff" to reach a total of £75,000 (€86,130) raised in this way.

Other highlights of the campaign include:
• "£10,000 (€11,630) donated to four food banks in East Manchester, Central Manchester and Wythenshawe, through City in the Community, funding 3,000 food parcels for local families.
