Twitter: Real Madrid, Barcelona and Man United add over one million followers since August

Real Madrid CF, FC Barcelona (Liga BBVA) and Manchester United FC (Barclays Premier League) have all added over one million Twitter followers since the beginning of the clubs' domestic seasons in 08/2015, according to figures compiled by News Tank on 08/01/2015. Arsenal FC, Chelsea FC, Liverpool FC (Premier League) Galatasaray SK and Fenerbahçe SK are among the clubs that have added over 500,000 followers on the micro-blogging social network since the beginning of the season.

Overall, Real Madrid remains the most followed club in Europe on Twitter with 14.2 million followers, ahead of Barcelona (13.8 million) and with Arsenal (5.1 million) completing the podium. Chelsea (5 million) and Galatasaray (4.7 million) round out the top five European clubs in Twitter followers.
