Paris 2024/France Télévision: launch of the digital channel "france.tv Paris 2024" on 08/05/2024

France Télévisions will launch the digital channel "france.tv Paris 2024" on 08/05/2024 to coincide with the arrival of the Olympic flame in Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône) from Piraeus (Greece), announced the French public broadcasting group on 11/01/2024.

The channel will broadcast the Olympic flame live every day from 08:30 to 19:30 CET, as well as daily "special events" from 21:00 to 23:00 CET, according to Laurent-Eric Le Lay, the group's director of sports. These daily highlights will include "retrospectives on the best moments of the summer Olympics over the last 40 years" (four features per week), documentaries (two features) and a Cultural Olympiad (one feature).

France Télévisions has acquired under sub-license from US media and entertainment conglomerate Warner Bros. Discovery (formerly Discovery) the exclusive free-to-air broadcasting rights to the Paris 2024 Summer Olympic Games on 22/04/2019.
