Newcastle United FC: a turnover of £250.3m (+39%) & net loss of £73.4m in 2022-23

Newcastle United FC (Premier League) posted a turnover of £250.3m (€290.1m as of 30/06/2023) for the 2023 financial year (01/07/2022 to 30/06/2023), up 39% on 2022 (£180m/€208.6m, 01/07/2021 to 30/06/2022), according to the club's annual financial results published on 11/01/2024.

Revenues from TV rights increased from £124.1m (€143.8m) to £165.4m (€192m) in 2022-23, while matchday revenues reached £37.9m (€44m) in 2023, compared with £27.5m (€31.8m) the previous year. Commercial revenues amounted to £43.9m (€50.8m) in 2023, up from £26.5m (€30.7m) in 2022.

"The financial performance was supported by the club's successful season on the pitch, with the club reaching its first major cup final (Carabao Cup) in 24 years and achieving a fourth-place finish in the Premier League to secure qualification for the UEFA Champions League," explained the club that was acquired by a group of investors led by the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund (PIF) in October 2021.
