France/esports: Orange adds the LFL (League of Legends) to its sponsorship portfolio

Orange, a French telecommunications operator, has become an official supplier (2^nd level) of the Ligue Française de League of Legends (LFL) for the 2024 season, announced Webedia on 12/01/2024.

Orange is thus strengthening its position in French esports. The Paris-based company is a major partner and main jersey sponsor of Karmine Corp, a French club that has a team in the LFL and whose first team on LoL has been playing at the highest European level (LEC) since the 2024 season. The partnership began in 2022 and was extended to 2025 on 16/09/2023. Orange was also the main jersey sponsor of Team Vitality between 2018 and 2021.

"Esports is to telecoms what Formula 1 is to motor racing. For Orange, it's a laboratory and a showcase for testing and deploying cutting-edge technology," said Orange on the occasion of the installation of an ephemeral infrastructure at the Thonon Gaming Fest on 23/06/2023.
