Toulouse FC: club "categorically denies" rumours of an imminent sale by RedBird Capital

"Toulouse FC (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) categorically denies the information recently published in various media and on social media claiming an official sale of the club," said the French club on 16/01/2024.

According to several media reports, the sale of the club is imminent, and according to the French sports daily L'Equipe, the American investment fund RedBird Capital Partners, which became majority shareholder of TFC in July 2020 by acquiring 85% of its capital, could sell its shares to another fund based in New York (USA): Otro Capital Group.

"These rumours are totally unfounded and untrue. The management, the technical staff and all the employees are focused on the ambitions and exciting challenges that await the club for the rest of the season," added the club, a few weeks after the departure of its CEO Olivier Jaubert, who arrived in August 2020 in the wake of the American fund.
