Brand Finance: Nike (62nd) the most valuable sports brand in 2024, adidas 141st & Decathlon 230th

The American sports equipment manufacturer Nike remains the world's most valuable sports brand in 2024, according to Brand Finance, a strategy and brand valuation consultancy, which published its ranking of the 500 most valuable brands in the world, across all sectors, on 17/01/2024.

Valued at $29.87bn (€28.79bn, down 4.6% versus 2023), Nike has slipped eight places compared with 2023 and is now in 62nd position in this ranking, which is dominated by Apple (electronics, up 1 place on 2023), Microsoft (IT, up 2 places), Google (technology services), Amazon (e-commerce, down 4 places) and Samsung (electronics, up 1 place).

Five other sports brands are included in this Top 500:
• adidas (equipment manufacturer) has dropped 13 places and is now 141st
• Decathlon (equipment manufacturer) has gained 5 positions (230th)
• Lululemon (equipment manufacturer specializing in yoga) has climbed 40 places (382nd)
• JD Sports (sporting goods distributor) has lost 50 places (478th)
• Puma (equipment manufacturer) has climbed 12 places (479th)
