DFL: EA Sports extends as partner of the Bundesliga & 2.Bundesliga (2025-2027)

Electronic Arts (EA), an American video games company based in California (USA), has extended, via its subsidiary EA Sports, its partnership with the Deutsche Fußball Liga for the Bundesliga and 2.Bundesliga, announced the German Football League on 18/01/2024.

This partnership renewal covers two seasons (2025-26 and 2026-27) and is intended to last "until at least 2026-27." EA Sports, a partner of the DFL since 1998 (most recently renewed on 28/09/2020), will retain exclusive football video game rights for its EA Sports FC game, formerly named "FIFA" under the partnership between EA Sports and FIFA in force between 1993 and 2023.

EA Sports will continue to utilise the DFL's assets in the Bundesliga, 2.Budesliga and DFL-Supercup. The partnership also includes a marketing component, with EA Sports remaining the presentation partner for the Bundesliga's "Player of the Month" and "Player of the Season" awards. EA Sports will also "continue to implement a range of marketing campaigns in cooperation with the clubs," said the DFL.
