The Swiss watch brand Tissot, part of the Swatch Group, acquired the naming rights to the future stadium complex of Biel/Bienne (Biel in German and English, Bienne in French; Canton of Bern), Switzerland, on 12/01/2015.

The complex, which could be named Tissot Arena, includes both a football stadium and an indoor hall, mainly for ice hockey. The contract period is estimated between 5 and 10 years. The amount is estimated at CHF 500,000 per year (about €415,000) according to the Journal du Jura on 12/01/2015. This sum will be divided between the City, the owner of the infrastructure, and tenant clubs, HC Bienne (ice hockey) and FC Biel-Bienne (football, Challenge League, Swiss second division). The two clubs will occupy the complex from the 2015-16 season.

  • Tissot is committed to equipping the ice hall with a modern system of giant screens.
  • Tissot has been a partner of the IIHF (International Ice Hockey Federation) since 1996.
