Newcastle United FC: construction begins on the fanzone at St. James' Park (delivery summer 2024)

Construction of the Newcastle United FC (Premier League) fan zone outside St. James' Park (Newcastle upon Tyne, ENG) has begun, announced the club on 22/01/2024. It is due to open in the summer of 2024, before the start of the 2024-25 season.

The space will be called "St. James' STACK, presented by Sela". It will be named after STACK, a local container-based entertainment venue company, and Sela, a Saudi Arabian sports events company and the English club's main partner.

"The entertainment venue will create a leisure and social destination seven days a week as well as enhancing matchday experiences for both home and away fans, whilst matchdays will provide supporters with a number of food and drink options and entertainment," said NUFC.

In July 2023, the club submitted a planning application to Newcastle City Council for the project. The plan was to initially open for three years and create 150 full- and part-time jobs.
