Transfers: most positive balance for LOSC (+€386m) between 2014 & 2023 (excluding trained players)

LOSC Lille (Ligue 1 Uber Eats) is the club with the best net financial balance in terms of player transfers (sales - purchases), excluding those from the training centre, over the period from 2014 to the end of the 2023 summer mercato, with a cumulative result of +€386m, according to the CIES Football Observatory in its weekly post published on 24/01/2024.

Since 2014, the French club has generated €627m in revenue from the sale of players, and spent just €241m on acquiring them. The northern club is ahead of AFC Ajax (Eredivisie, +€317m) and FC Red Bull Salzburg (Admiral Bundesliga, +€233m).

The top 10 clubs to have generated the most profits from trading players not from their academy over the period 2014-2023 also include:
•two Bundesliga representatives: RB Leipzig, 5^th (+€216m), and Eintracht Frankfurt, 9^th (+€182m);
